Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY

Under general direction, responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Defines project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems. Incumbent might also be company's expert on specific technologies.  Frequently reports to a Project Planning Manager or IT Executive.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management

•         Create initial project proposals, project charters, and statements of work

•         Create and manage project control documentation, including requirements documentation, workplans, timelines, budgets, resource plans, and knowledge transfer plans

•         Manage product team, including business analysts, development lead, developers, and testers

•         Manage project budgets

•         Manage project risks and issues

•         Manage change control process

•         Manage user acceptance testing and release plans

•         Manage communications with stakeholders, project team, and business and IT management

•         Participate in business-led change management processes

Product Management

         Maintain thorough knowledge of customer segments and customer needs

         Maintain thorough understanding of product features and functionality

         Oversee application design, architecture, infrastructure, and operating platform

Business Analysis

         Assist in documenting business needs and identifying appropriate technology solutions

         Define and document functional and technical requirements and assist in defining business requirements

 

 

ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS
Interfaces with customers across multiple business units.  Works with various IT functional areas, including development, infrastructure, training and adoption, and transition teams as necessary for projects.  Works with business leads for technology planning and management.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•                     IT Project management or software development management

•                     Business analysis and requirements gathering

•                     Budget and resource management

•                     Relationship management and communications

•                     Excellent attention to detail

•                     Self-motivated, able to set priorities and work autonomously

•                     Customer service focus

•                     Familiarity with .NET applications, enterprise application integration, n-tier architecture

•                     Knowledge of real estate industry or technology

Minimum Experience

•                     Minimum of 10 years of work experience in IT industry or department

•                     Minimum of 7 years of work experience in leading IT projects

•                     Experience in managing simultaneous complex projects from inception to successful completion

•                     Experience in real estate Industry a plus

Educational Level /Certifications

•                     Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred, preferably in information systems, computer science, or business administration

•                     PMI or equivalent certification preferred

•                     Six Sigma certification or exposure preferred
