REPORTS TO: Manager, Applications Development


The Reporting & Data Support Analyst will support the data analysis needs of the organization by applying the knowledge of mathematics, probability and/or statistics. This position is also responsible for the day to day data warehouse operations including ETL processing/monitoring, metadata maintenance and data validation, and data accuracy. A solid understanding of the organizational data is necessary as is the ability to design, develop and implement various reporting and analysis solutions, including data extraction.


Be knowledgeable of the different data resources available for analysis and ability to identify the source and sources of data best suited for each situation.

Collaborate with team members on data analysis needs including definition of the purpose and scope of analysis, performing the analysis and communicating the results of analysis.

Work with team members to provide requirements for new data tables/data needs.

Develop data architecture (data modeling, database design) including ETL development, dimensional data models (logical and physical) and Universe development that allows for scalability and performance of the EDW platform.

Create user-friendly reports and verify the accuracy of results provided.

Manage reoccurring report and data import/export schedules.

Monitor and review daily ETL batch jobs for success, failure, warning statuses, performance changes and resolve issues identified.

Report on the status of projects and tasks both orally and in writing.

Access EPHI following the current guidelines as established at the company-wide and department levels.

Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Perform other work-related duties as assigned.


Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and a minimum of 5 years work experience. Proficiency of relational database concepts including fundamental proficiency in SQL programming. Understanding of data warehouse methodology Proficiency in Oracle PL SQL and SAP Business Objects tools including; Information Design Tool, Data Services, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports Experience in Business Objects administration. Experience in Business Objects Data Services administration considered a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft Access considered a plus. Ability to communicate in an effective manner with other technical team members and interface directly with system users.
